I hope you’re all doing okay.
Recently, I’ve been doing a bit of research on banking and, in particular, seeing if any banks offer specialist services to cancer patients. When I had cancer, we seemed to have more support from charities and social workers than actual banks or building societies. However, we were told by the friendly staff in the bank that we could pop in and ask for advice any time we liked 🙂
Since I was diagnosed, there seems to have been a bit of progress in the banking world and now there are a few options available to those who are facing a cancer diagnosis. Lots of banks support cancer charities and fund their financial advice services but if you are looking for an actual bank/building society to turn to, Nationwide is the one you need.
Nationwide has partnered up with Macmillan to deliver a specialist banking service for those with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
Nationwide Building Society offer a financial advisory service that is the first of its kind!
- A team of financial experts who can advise on products for the short term and the long term
- You will be appointed a Specialist Support Manager so you can have one-on-one contact with an expert who knows your story
- Phone lines are open 6 days a week and you can even appoint a family member or friend to call on your behalf
- The number to ring is 0800 917 23 93
The Nationwide service is fairly new and I haven’t used it myself but I thought it might help some of you guys if you’re struggling to find someone to talk to about your finances.
I hope that you have a lovely week,
