Hey there, lovelies!
It was my birthday a few weeks ago & it’s taken me a while to get around to putting a blog post up about it!
For me, my birthday symbolises so much more than the date I was born; I’m blessed to still be here, getting older and wiser (sort of – ha!). I’m eight years away from having cancer & so damn lucky to be! I’m so grateful to still be here, living and learning every minute of every day.
My birthday was a quiet one, spent with people I love and in the beautiful countryside. We had some food in the Red Fox pub in Penllyn which was gorgeous! The interior is so lovely and I can imagine that it would be really cosy in the winter as it has a huge fireplace and fairy lights all over the ceiling. The atmosphere is really friendly and the food was amazing – I had sausages & mash which were delicious!
We drove lazily back through the countryside and took in the beautiful views around us. It’s so nice to just take some time out and appreciate the beauty of nature – even down to the little things like hearing the birds singing. It was lovely to have some time to reflect on the years that I’ve already spent on this planet and (hopefully!) the many years left to come.
If you’d like to read more about my birthday gifts including paintings, Yankee Candles and happy boxes, you can do that here!
I hope you guys are doing well,
See you next week,
